The Chavez family home and business after the devastating fire in Altadena.

A fable, by its very definition, is a story that teaches a moral lesson. Most often the best fables are those that are about animals, plants and forces of nature that are humanlike. A few weeks ago, we lost our home, our farm and business; Fable, to the Altadena fires. While the loss has been profound, and the heartbreak and fear very real, there is a story unfolding…

For us, it has always been about the animals (yes, they are safe and in temporary loving homes!). We love creating experiences where our little farm life comes to you. Well cared for farm animals in a beautifully crafted setting, brings joy and happiness. We are simply the facilitators.

Our family, along with our menagerie of sheep, goats, bunnies, ducks and chickens are rebuilding the Fable experience. And while we are living out of suitcases and crates, we are reimagining the most magical comeback of all. The incredible support from all of you is what is making this all possible. We are beyond humbled and look forward to paying all the generosity forward.

I hope you will stick around and follow along as we unpack our dreams and build new ones.

💛 Mia
